Grass pitches were good as was the service pitch apart from the inevitable sand on the pitch (which I hate, but better than mud I guess). The guys on the electric scooters guiding you to your pitch were great as were those in the shop, reception and restaurant/bar. Very friendly night watchman who always ran to my aid when opening the road barriers with my card as being left hand drive I had to get out and be quick before the barrier went down. I had nevertheless told them of my intention on my arrival but this was misunderstood. I left him with the responsibility of paying the fees which were due when I was away and the manager (who came across as a bit stressed, but was still helpful) was not very happy as apparently leaving the caravan on site without the main named person is not allowed (which quite frankly is a bit silly, even the very conservative caravan club in the UK allows for a caravan to be left on a pitch empty for up to two days. There was a misunderstanding regarding the fact that I had to leave my caravan with my caravan cohabitee for two days as I had to return to the UK to assist my mother for two days. The campsite is well organised and all were friendly. Would return.…Ĭontrary to the reviewer suggesting campers were packed in like Sardines, this was not my experience and I was there during peak period. Small shop which has all the basics and very friendly staff. Not sure what the situation is in peak season ? Lots of lovely walking and cycle paths right by the site too. The caravan next to me must have been just under a metre away! I understand that in ‘low season’ it is sensible and more manageable to keep people in one main area but less than a metre is intrusive, not to mention a potential fire hazard should the worst happen! Kept my blinds closed and was out most days so not a massive problem to me but worth a mention. The site is huge with at least four facilities ‘blocks’ so it seemed a bit pointless that vehicles were pitched so close together. It is a 5 minutes walk to the metro station and approx 30 mins into the city for 6 euro day return during the week which then went up to 8 euro at weekend, still a good price. Stopped over here for 6 nights in my motorhome.t Staff are friendly, helpful, the facilities are clean and well maintained although the shower pressure was not great.
